Crystal Smith has filed for a divorce from her husband and American singer, Shaffer Smith aka Ne-Yo, just days after her public revelation.
Recall that Crystal Smith in her Instagram page revealed how Ne-Yo had cheated on her all through the eight years they’ve been together. She said she no longer wants to keep quiet about her husband’s infidelity.
Just days after she revealed this, the mother of three has filed for a divorce over charges of infidelity. Crystal also claimed that Ne-Yo fathered a child with his ‘paramour’.
According to reports, Crystal had submitted a petition on August 1, 2022. She revealed he fathered a child in the documents submitted in Fulton County, Georgia. It also reveals that the couple had been separated since July 22.
Crystal in the document claimed that she is entitled to a divorce “upon the ground that the marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation”.
The duo got married in February 2016 and has welcomed three children after.
