Award winning artiste, Davido, has deleted the controversial music video over criticism it received from the Islamic religion.

Recall that Davido had shared a clip from a video made by his signee, Logos Olori, for his song ‘Jaye Lo’ and has since been faced with a backlash.

The comment section was immediately filled with a lot of disapproving comments. Many faulted the singer for disrespecting Islam.

A lot of critics had asked that the video be deleted. The clip showed a group of men in white outfits in front of the mosque dancing to the song.

Actor Ali Nuhu via his Instagram page had slammed Davido over the video which he referred to as an unacceptable act.

His post read, “I just came across the controversial video by @davido, as much we want to be creative in our various fields, we should learn to respect other people’s religion, culture and tradition.

“This is totally unacceptable in Islam. You should pull down that video and apologise for hurting the entire Muslim ummah.”

A quick check on the artiste’s page showed that the video had been taken down.
