Iwobi celebrates a goal for the Gunners

Arsenal FC of England  and Nigeria international  Alex Iwobi  has missed out on Arsenal  player of the month award for November with Uruguay midfielder,  Lucas Torreira going home with the prize.

Torreira who linked up with the Gunners from Italian side, Sampdoria in the summer received 70 percent of the votes cast by the club fans.

Iwobi who came last in the poll has made 13 Premier League appearances for the Gunners this season, scoring once.

German goalkeeper Bernd  Leno and Rob Holding finished in second and third place respectively.

Torreira  has been in dazzling form ever since joining the Gunners  adding energy and bite to the base of the team’s midfield.

He started November in fine style, impressing with a man-of-the-match performance as Arsenal  drew 1-1 with Liverpool before coming close to scoring in the draw with Wolves.

The 22-year-old then struck the post and claimed another man-of-the-match award as Arsenal won 2-1 away at Bournemouth.
