Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has opened up about her relationship with Afrobeat singer, Iyanya, and how he cheated on her with a famous actress.
The actress in a book titled ‘I am not Yvonne Nelson’ revealed how he had found out that Iyanya was seeing Tonto Dikeh the same time he was seeing her.
She said the actress had always been going to Iyanya’s house whenever she travels back to her country. She said a caller had always informed her of the singer’s escapades.
Yvonne went further to state that the actress wasn’t the only one he was messing around with at the time. She said she had thought their relationship meant a thing when he sang about her in his song ‘Ur Waist’.
She said Iyanya had tattooed her initials on his wrist and she thought it was forever with them.
An excerpt of the book read, “One can therefore imagine my shock when I returned to Ghana after one of my visits to Nigeria and someone called me from his house.
“The caller said anytime I left Iyanya’s place, another actress came over to him and sometimes slept over. The person felt strongly that something was going on between them and thought I should know.
“That actress turned out to be Tonto Dikeh of Nigeria, one of the female celebrities Iyanya named in his ‘Ur Waist” song’.”
The duo had their major fallout in 2012 after a well known relationship.
