American rapper and business mogul, Shawn Corey Carter, also known as Jay-Z, has deleted his Instagram account hours after he joined the platform.
The father of three had joined Instagram on Wednesday, and he quickly accumulated about 2 million followers and a verification badge, of which his wife was among the followers.
The rapper is rumoured to have created his page to promote his movie, ‘The Harder They Fall’ , a new Western film on Netflix, which he produced.
The movie had starred actors like Regina King, Idris Elba and Jonathan Majors.
His wife, Beyonce, who also followed the account, had shared Jay Z’s first Instagram story, a cover photo of the movie.
The veteran rapper, however, has since deleted the account.
