Award winning singer, Divine Ikubor aka Rema, has reacted to the rumours that he had joined the Illuminati.

Rema in a post on his Instagram story on Wednesday denied the allegations. He said he has not changed from being a Christian.

According to him, he has been using bats as an artistic item since he started singing because of where he is from, Edo state.

Netizens had called him out over a recent post where he was seen in a photo that looked like he was in wings. The wings strike a similar resemblance to the bats.

In reaction to this, Rema said people need to be educated before assumptions are being made.

He wrote, “Day 1 Ravers, help me educate the new Ravers that I have been on this bat shit for a long time.

“You all would have so much clarity if you easily Google where I’m from, what the key colors of my heritage are, what flies in the skies of Benin every evening, etc.

“As I evolve, my execution will evolve unapologetically. Please know your artist. It is why I do interviews. And that Illuminati talk is trash.

“I work too hard to create art for you guys to give the glory to some diabolical shit. Dead it now. Jesus is King. REMA.”
