A young lady, believed to be one of the Chibok girls abducted by terrorists in 2014, and her Boko Haram/ISWAP husband have surrendered to the Nigerian Army.

She was married off to the terrorists during their time with their captors, reports claim.

Though the identity of the female student is yet to be revealed, she and her husband reportedly surrendered willingly to the Nigerian Military.

They surrendered and presented themselves to troops at an unknown location, within the Lake Chad region.

Reports claim that their resolve to surrender may not be unconnected with the destruction of their enclaves and camps by the Nigerian military airstrikes and ground bombardment; and the outbreak of killer diseases together with food scarcity, which have badly hit the terrorists.

Meanwhile, former lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government of showing less concern to the issues of insecurity ravaging the country.

The 8th National Assembly lawmaker pointed out that the federal government has placed more priority on the arrested leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, and his counter part, Sunday Adeyemo better known as Sunday Igboho, who is agitating for Yoruba Nation.

Sani lamented that banditry was more of a security threat in the country than the two agitators.

According to him, the northern part of the country would be a safe place if the federal government fought terrorism with the same energy it used against Kanu and Igboho.
