Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has kept good his promise to provide one meal for residents of densely populated neighbourhoods in the state.
This is part of the measures put in place by Mr Sanwo-Olu to cushion the effect of the lockdown in the state.
Executive Chairman, Ojodu Local Council Development Authority, Engr. Julius Olumuyiwa Oloro, confirmed this development in a statement on Thursday.
Ojodu is considered one of the fastest developing neighbourhoods in Lagos, with residents mostly somewhere around middle-class or below.
” We are pleased to announce an additional palliative for the residents of Ojodu LCDA Lagos State which is an initiative of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led government,” Mr Oloro said.
“This is to further ameliorate the inconvenience occasioned by the extension in the lockdown order of the Federal Government of Nigeria.”
According to the LCDA Chairman, the exercise commenced on Thursday and would run for only three hours daily.
He further disclosed the details of beneficiaries and designated points across the six wards in the state.
