Lagos discharges 26 COVID-19 patients, total now 528

The Lagos State Government, on Wednesday, announced the discharge of 26 COVID-19 patients.

According to a statement on Twitter, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu revealed that the patients were from Yaba, Onikan, and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation facilities.

This takes the total recoveries to 528.

“Today, 26 recovered COVID-19 patients in Lagos were discharged from Yaba, Onikan, and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation facilities to reunite with the society,” the statement reads.

“Those discharged include, 13 males and 13 females, all Nigerians.

“The patients, 6 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, 11 from Onikan, and 9 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

“With this, the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos is now 528.”

Lagos is Nigeria’s worst-hit with 1990 of the 4787 positive cases.
