The Lagos State government has decided to probe the hospital, Doren, where Rico Swavey died as a result of the leaked video about how the deceased was treated prior to his death.
Recall that a video showing the state at which Rico was before treatment commenced became viral just hours after his death was announced.
In the video, the health officials were laughing and making videos while Rico’s body laid in an uncomfortable position.
One of them had reprimanded her co-workers who were making videos instead of attending to the patient, especially since it was heard in one of the conversations that his oxygen level is low.
A blogger, Gistlover, called the hospital out on its page.
In reaction to this, Netizens who are familiar with the hospital dragged them on social media. The hospital has also limited their comments section.
The commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, stated that investigation is ongoing. The statement read, “That hospital is not a government hospital; we have started an investigation into the unprofessional conducts of those who appeared in that video.”
