Nollywood superstar, Funke Akindele and her husband, JJC Skillz, are set to appeal the judgement of an Ogba Magistrate Court over violation of the lockdown order in Lagos State.
Akindele hosted about 20 guests in her residence on Saturday to mark Skillz’s birthday.
However, the feast turned sour after triggering the attention of authorities to arrest and charge the pair to court.
Akindele and her husband would later plead guilty on Tuesday, with the court slamming 14 days community service, among others on the celebrity couple.
It appears as though that there is more legal tussle ahead as the pair may seek redress at the Appellate court after briefing renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana.
When asked about his views on the status of the couple, the human rights lawyer, said: “your request unfortunately, cannot be met because I am involved in the matter.
“She (Funke Akindele) has already briefed me and once the lockdown is over, we are likely to go to court;
“So, I don’t want to be seen as pre-empting what we are going to do,” he said.
