The Nigerian Police have denied the news circulating in the media about an arrest made on popular singer, Azeez Fashola also known as Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Balogun aka Sam Larry, over the death of Mohbad.
Recall that a few hours ago, news of the arrest had spread widely in the media following the recent updates about how the record label had victimised the artiste before his death.
A couple videos had shown Sam Larry trying to bully Mohbad, resulting in many injuries on different occasions.
In the new post made by the spokesperson of the Lagos Annex, Force Criminal Investigation Department of the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 2, Alagbon, Oluniyi Ogundeyi, said the news of the arrest is false.
Ogundeyi in an interview with THE PUNCH on Thursday, said, “The report is false. It is a lie. No one has been arrested. The police did not arrest Naira Marley or Sam Larry.”
