A disc jockey, Marlian Aderoju aka DJ Splash that was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s record label, has recounted how the singer had impacted wrongly on his mental health.
The DJ had won the competition for disc jockeys held by DJ Consequence in 2020 and had been signed to Marlians Records afterwards.
However, the DJ was reportedly to have been allegedly mentally ill and had not been seen for a long time.
In a new post on nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo’s Instagram Live, she shared that she visited the family of the disc jockey in Ikotun, Lagos.
In the video, DJ Splash looking frail and disoriented narrated his ordeal as a Marlian signee. He said his life changed for the worse when he joined the record label.
He said his woeful days had started when he opted to sing instead of the work of a DJ. He said he was badly maltreated and had suffered from serious mental illness leading to a memory loss at some point.
The actress promised to raise funds for him so he can be medically attended to. She also promised the mother some financial and moral support.
