A Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos state has granted a N20m bail for singer Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley and his associate, Balogun Eletu aka Sam Larry over the death of Mohbad.
The duo were to pay the bail with the presence of three sureties.
The Magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun ordered them to make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Depart (CID).
They are to submit their international passports as part of their bail conditions.
She also gave warnings stating that any means of contact made to her would be recorded and played in court.
The Magistrate said, “As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
“Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.”
They were arrested after their return from their various destinations in the first week of October, 2023, over the circumstances leading to the death of Marlians’ former signee, Mohbad.
Recall that several videos had shown acts of harassment and assault made on the late singer before he passed on in a suspicious way. The case is still under investigation.
