Netflix has announced that Korean drama series, Squid Game, has become the service’s biggest TV show launch of all time, with 111 million fans.

Recall that the series made their debut on September 17, 2021, and has since been creating a series of reactions from the viewers.

Netflix made the announcement last night, Tuesday, October 12.

According to Netflix, the series has surpassed Bridgerton (82 million), having garnered 111 million fans in the show’s first 28 days.

Netflix revealed that the show has more than half of their fans and subscribers, with the total number reaching 209 million fans, which is surprising since the show had no major stars in it.

They tweeted, “Squid Game has officially reached 111 million fans – making it our biggest series launch ever.”

The South Korean show is also at #1 on Netflix’s Top 10 lists in 94 countries around the globe.

It is also the first South Korean show to become the #1 show in the United States.
