Reactions are pouring in over actor Baba Ijesha who was seen in tears over his sentence. The actor pleaded that his sentence be reduced.
The actor was sentenced to 16 years for child molestation and sexual assault of a minor in July 2022.
He was sentenced to five years imprisonment on count two (indecent treatment of a child), three years on count three (sexual assault), five years on count four (indecent treatment of a child) and three years on count five (sexual assault).
Pleading for mercy, a viral video showed Baba Ijesha in bed crying that the people should have mercy on him especially as his health is allegedly deteriorating.
In contrast to what he expected, the actor was slammed by angry Netizens who felt the actor was merely acting. Some referred to his tears as crocodile tears while some said he should plead for mercy from the abused instead.
Baba Ijesha in the video also faulted Princess for the act she took in his prison sentence.
This act infuriated Netizens who felt the man hadn’t learnt his lesson.
One person said, “You still get mouth if there wasn’t evidence you won’t be in jail na enjoy ur stay ogbeni ja so Hand go dey touch everyone of you wey love to dey molest minors.”
Another said, “This is pure acting. There are consequences for every action.”
