The Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Prince Adewole Adebayo has urged Nigerians to make use of the coming 2023 elections and defeat agents of division and sectarian politics in the country.
The presidential hopeful made this call on Sunday via his Twitter handle while calling for an inclusive government.
According to the renowned lawyer, no one is doing the other a favour for being in Nigeria, hence the need to build the country.
His tweet reads, “We must call out agents of division and sectarian politics and defeat them decisively in this election. We must do justice based on truth in order to heal the nation and her citizens. We need to run an inclusive government based on Chapter 2 of the Constitution to end poverty now.
“We must create a new national consensus that does not litigate issues of the past and legacy grievances. We must know that we are extremely lucky to have inherited this Nigerian family. No one is doing the other a favour by being here. We have a country to build. This is destiny.
“We must build a rational platform for leadership recruitment and cadre building based on egalitarian principles and public ethics which allows us to sieve away liars, demagogues and corrupt politicians instead of ethnicity, religion and money which dominate the present criteria.”
