Nigeria, on Tuesday, posted its highest Covid-19 cases in four months with 404 fresh infections.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on Wednesday morning.
The figures showed that the country recorded an almost 100 per cent increase in infections.
On Monday, the nation raked in 213 cases and moved to 404 fresh cases the following day.
Lagos, the epicentre of the virus logged 356 of the new cases, about 93 per cent of the national cases.
The state more than doubled the 157 cases it recorded the previous day.
Rivers State, which came second recorded just 18 cases, down from the 20 it posted the previous day.
The nation’s total confirmed Covid-19 cases stands at 171,728, with 164,837 recoveries and 2,134 deaths.
