Popular Debo Adebayo, also known as Mr Macaroni, has begged the federal government to see to issues concerning the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU and Nigerian students.

Recall that on Monday, the president of the body (ASUU), Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, had declared a nationwide strike.

According to him, the federal government has refused to meet up with their demands that cut across lecturers’s welfare packages and funding.

Osodoke had warned that the strike would be “comprehensive and total.”

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has promised to hold a protest to fight the decision and nonchalant way their academics are being played.

Reacting to this, the comedian on his Twitter page, has joined a great number of Nigerian students lamenting on social media.

He pleaded with the federal government stating Nigerian students deserve better treatment since the warning strike is going to disrupt academics and cause unnecessary delays.

His tweet read, “I plead with ASUU and the Nigerian Government to come to terms that will see to it that students return to school as soon as possible. Abeg!

“Nigerian Students also deserve better.”
