Nigerians are reacting to singer Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, also known as Oxlade’s sex tape.
The sex tape, which was released on Twitter, got a mixed reaction from users on the app since its release hours ago.
Nigerians woke up to a clip of Oxlade copulating with a girl in bed and this had created an uproar on Twitter.
The tape, which was leaked on Snapchat, found its way to Twitter and a good number of Nigerians have hailed the singer for his ‘wonderful performance’ while others berated him for getting such attention when another artiste was bashed for the same action.
A Twitter user said Oxlade has blocked his comment section out of fear when he should be praised for his actions. It read, “Oxlade has blocked the comment section on IG. Bros, we are not trolling; we want to hail you.”
Another one wrote, “I think Oxlade is a good artist, but he is better at something else. Your versatility is admirable.”
A concerned fan said the person who leaked the video should be blamed instead of the victims in the clip. The tweet read, “Many of you are trying to paint Oxlade’s sextape like he committed a crime, smh. Everybody is a virgin on Twitter.
“It’s high time we all stopped acting like kids whenever things like this happen. When sex tapes get leaked, blame the leaker, that’s the criminal, period!!”
While the reactions are ongoing, many have dragged singer Tiwa Savage’s sex tape scandal into it, stating Oxlade is getting a wonderful attention against what Tiwa was served with when her sex tape was leaked.
One said, “Apparently, there will never be much uproar when men’s sex tapes get exposes like there is when women’s happen.
“Tiwa’s case nearly shit the internet down with takes. Nobody cares about Cross’s nudes and everyone laughs about Oxlade’s and how good he is. Hypocrisy.”
Another Twitter user said, “Oxlade’s sex tape leaked and everyone is praising him, where was this energy when it was Tiwa.”
“Nigerians are hypocrites, they bashed Tiwa Savege when her sextape was released, but are not applauding Oxlade because he is a man. Same thing should happen to him too,” a user tweeted.
The singer and his management are yet to release a statement or react to the news.
