Actress Nkechi Blessing, Comedian Seyi Law and few other eminent Nigerians have been honoured at the 2021 South West Advancement Award.
The event was held at the Oriental Hotels Victoria Island on yesterday, August 1, 2021,
The event was created to appreciate notable men and women of the south west region in the public and the entrepreneurial sectors.
The President of KAFTAN Group of companies, Mr Adewole Adebayo, was awarded as the ‘PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR’.
Comedian Seyi Law won for the category of ‘COMEDIAN OF THE YEAR’.
Nkechi Blessing Sunday won the ‘ACTRESS OF THE YEAR’. She took to her Instagram page to post her achievement.
This is coming weeks after the disagreement between her and TAMPAN, leading to few scuffles on social media before she apologised to those involved.
For her recent win, she posted her plaque on her Instagram page.
Her caption read, “Walked into this Event tonight Filled with notable personalities, politicians, young and old entrepreneurs and I happen to be the only ACTRESS and to that note I got the ACTRESS OF THE YEAR Award thank you to the organizers of @southwestadvancementaward this is very well appreciated.”
Other winners of the show includes the founder of Christ Generation church, Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi; CEO of City People Magazine, Seye Kehinde; CEO Titan farms, Engr. Gbenga Eyiolawi; CEO Maya Awards Africa, Ademola T. Ajibola, e.t.c.
