Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has lamented over the alarming rate of the Nollywood movie industry and how it has turned into a dumping ground for quacks.
The actor took to his Instagram to berate how the industry allows people who can barely speak good English into Nollywood.
Referring to the actors as blockheads and dummies, he said, the industry is dying just like the country itself.
He wrote, “Everybody wan be actor and actress. All the dummies around want to be actors and actresses.
“Nollywood has turned to dumpling ground for block heads. Even people that can’t speak good English have become actors and actresses unlike before.
“Nollywood don suffer. Somehow everything dies in this country. Why???.”
Recall that the Actors Guild of Nigeria has spoken about the similar topic over how some Big Brother Naija housemates without the talent feels Nollywood is the next big thing for them after eviction.
