The wife of popular On-air-personality, Dotun Kayode, Taiwo Omotayo Oyebanjo, has been found guilty for contempt over the custody of their children.
Recall that Do2dtun in a series of posts and interviews have cried out following the absence of his children in his life. He had vowed to take the matter to court.
Omotayo was found guilty in a divorce petition she filed in Abuja. She is ordered to pay a sum of N200,000 or risk jail term.
A High court sitting in Dukpa, Abuja declared Taiwo Omotayo Oyebanjo, guilty of contravening the Order of the court involving the shared custody of the couple’s children.
It will be recalled that in suit No. GWD/ PET/25/21 the court granted Dotun and his estranged wife divided custody of the kids, after Dotun applied for it in April 2022 and both parties initially agreed.
However, Omotayo is rumoured to have flown the children out since June disobeying the order of the court and denying her husband’s access to the children.
The case has been adjourned to December 11, 2023.
