Vice Chancellor, Obafemi Awolowo University,OAU,Ile Ife,Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede has said that the University would soon join the league of world best universities.
Prof. Ogunbodede who disclosed this at the 43rd convocation ceremony of the University held at the Amphitheatre of Oduduwa Hall of the institution said efforts have been intensified to achieve this lofty goal in the nearest future.
Already, he said OAU is now one of the best African centres of excellence.
About 13,809 students graduated in the 2015/2016 and 2017/2018 academic sessions with 182 graduating in First class and 403 at the doctor of Philosophy category.
The best graduating student in the Faculty of Administration, department of Accountancy,Miss. Temitope Janet Ilori promised to be a good ambassador of the University stressing that the awards would spur her into greater accomplishments.
