A middle-aged man, identified as Naso, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his neighbour, known as Seyi, to death during an argument that ensued between them.

Naso who hails from the South East carried out the dastard act at Messiah High School street in Akure, Ondo State.

The accusation did not go down well with Naso, who was said to have engaged the deceased in verbal war.

The two men exchanged unpleasant words while some of the neighbours tried to broker peace between them.

However, Naso was said to have nursed the grievances in his heart and decided to wait till when everyone must have slept. He later waited till when everyone had gone to bed before carrying out his dastardly act on his neighbor.

It was gathered that Naso allegedly entered the room of the deceased, and stabbed him to death with knife, while he was asleep.

According to the Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police Command, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, the suspect has been arrested and detained by the Ondo State Police Command for more interrogation, stating that he would be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.
