The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the 16 years government of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nigeria as a disaster and misadventure.

This was a reaction to a statement by the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, where he claimed that Nigerians want them back in power.

PDP had said Nigerians were fed up with the Buhari-led administration and wanted a change.

The National Secretary of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Sen. John Udoedehe, in his response said that PDP’s 16 years was a misrule.

Udoedehe’s statement reads in part: “It is our belief that Nigerians should be spared the trauma of a reminder of the disaster of PDP’s 16 YEARS OF MISADVENTURE in government.

“It should allow Nigerians to forgive it for the numerous transgressions and agony it had put Nigerians through many years of misrule which their National Chairman had rightly publicly apologized to Nigerians.”

The APC took over the government from the PDP in 2015 when President Muhammadu Buhari defeated former President Goodluck Jonathan by an absolute majority.

Both parties have taken different sides of national issues since the election with the PDP claiming the APC came to destroy all they built.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, also recently accused the PDP of sponsoring the negative prophesies and predictions against the country and its economy.
