Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has reacted to the controversy surrounding the reactions to Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman aka Oxlade’s sex tape.
The sex tape, which was leaked to Twitter two days ago, gained its popularity amongst Nigerian youths on Twitter, who hailed the singer for his sex moves.
The most surprising of the reactions was a bunch of UNILAG students, who were seen in a viral video, praising the singer for his sexual prowess.
Reacting to this, Toke when asked for her opinion at the Rhythm FM studio, with a colleague, said human beings are being hypocritical with a lot of things especially when it involves the male gender.
She said they get away with a lot of things while the female gender is constantly blamed for the same act.
Recall that a singer, Tiwa Savage, landed in the same mess in October 2021 when her sex tape was leaked. However, she wasn’t spared.
She said, “People have double standards because when it’s a man, people are like ‘what do you feel about it?’ But when it’s a woman, they want to crucify her.
“People need to stop being hypocritical, when it’s one gender, they hail them and ask to be taught the way but the female gender, it’s something else.”
