Former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Goodluck Jonathan, Rueben Abati on Tuesday revealed why the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has been reduced to a social media sensation.
Abati who made the revelation via his official Facebook page revealed that candidates that are truly serious about moving the country forward are not being given a chance.
The ace media guru also cited politicians like Kingsley Moghalu, Omoyele Sowore and the rest who are capable but are being denied the opportunity to rule Nigeria.
He wrote: “More serious candidates who could have been on the ballot ironically have since been pushed out of the race. And why has Peter Obi been reduced to a social media sensation? Ideas.
“We can’t get anything concrete. Nobody listens to ideas, because the ones that are ready to promote them are not given the opportunity to do so. Those who try to generate ideas, outside partisan boundaries, are treated badly. “
Meanwhile, the General overseer of the Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere has also expressed support for the former Governor of Anambra State.
The cleric in a post on his Facebook account described Obi as the best man for the award, adding that he is the Moses God has sent to rescue Nigeria.
The cleric, who noted that he is not currently in Nigeria, promised to reveal why Obi is the man sent by God when he returns to the country.
He called on Nigerians to cast their votes for Obi in the forthcoming presidential election.
