Police arrest rapper, Ice Prince, in Lagos

The Nigerian Police have arrested popular rapper, Ice Prince, for violating license orders, assaulting and abducting a police officer in the early hours of today, September 2.

The news was disclosed by the Nigerian Police Superintendent and Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, on Twitter.

The rapper will be arraigned in court today, September 2, for his charges.

Narrating the incident on Twitter, Hundeyin said the rapper was stopped for driving without license plates and had agreed to be taken to the station.

However, he allegedly had a change of mind and threatened the police officer.

The tweet read, “At 3am today,
@Iceprincezamani
was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.

“He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
