PRP to hold national convention December

The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) has disclosed that it will hold its National Convention on December 11, 2021.

The party’s National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sule Kankara, made the disclosure in Katsina on Tuesday while speaking with newsmen.

He said arrangements have been concluded for the convention.

He added that the party had informed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies and other stakeholders on the decision to hold the convention.

Kankara also disclosed that Saturday’s state congress produced new executives in Katsina.

According to him, the state congress was held in Dandagoro, Batagarawa Local Government Area of the state.

He said eleven offices were vied for at the Congress, where Hassan Kankara was elected as the new state chairman of the party.

Mallam Lawal Rimaye was elected State Secretary of the party while Aisha Lawal was elected state Woman Leader.

Among those in attendance at the Congress were Professor Aliyu Jibiya from Bayero University, Kano; Alhaji Abdurrahman Abdallah, Mallam Abu Yaradua, Alhaji Aliyu Tsauri and Alhaji Musa Kankara.

The Congress was also witnessed by the INEC officials in the state as well as security agencies.
