Ramsey Nouah, Mo Abudu make Oscar Awards 2021 membership list

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), also known as THE OSCARS, has listed top Nigerian stars, Ramsey Nouah and Mo Abudu, to join the Oscar Academy class of 2021.

The list was released on Thursday, July 1, 2021 and it includes top personalities in the movie industry all over the world.

Nigerian actor, Ramsey Nouah, was listed among other prominent actors in the actors section, with movies ‘Figurine’ (2009), and ’76’ (2016), while Mo Abudu was listed in the producers’ category for her movies, ‘Oloture’ (2020) and ‘The Royal Hibiscus hotel’ (2017).

Mo Abudu took to her Instagram page to announce the news. According to her, she is the only Nigerian and African woman in the category.

An excerpt of what she wrote reads: “I am pleased and excited to inform you that I have been invited to join The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, popularly known as ‘THE OSCARS’, in the PRODUCER membership category.

“My producer credits listed by The Academy are OLOTURE and THE ROYAL HIBISCUS HOTEL.”
