Canadian rapper, Daystar Peterson, popularly known as Tory Lanez, has received a 10-year sentence for shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
He was sentenced on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 in Los Angeles.
The incident which had occurred in 2020 at Kylie Jenner’s party reported that the rapper had shot Megan Thee Stallion and had told her to “dance b*tch”.
A viral video had shown Megan trying to find her balance as she tiptoed when the police arrived at the scene.
He was convicted in December 2022 of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and two other felonies after he was dragged to court by the rapper.
The prosecutors demanded a 13-year imprisonment but the jury passed a 10-year jail sentence.
