A UK pastor, Tobi Adegboyega of Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC), has come under fire for publicly berating his music ministers in church.
A viral video showed the pastor interrupting a worship and praise section in church.
According to him, the music was boring his spirit. He told the choir to go back to their seats in a condescending tone.
He said, “Okay thank you guys be sitted please that song was boring me to death so I had to come up mehmnm…but thanks guys.”
The video had generated a lot of comments on a popular Nigerian blog on Instagram.
An Instagram user said the pastor has no right since the song is for God. Another claimed the pastor was too harsh.
It read, “That was harsh mehn. I was like kini big deal pastor.”
Another one wrote, “All shades of wrong.” While another claimed the 21st century pastor has listened to plenty of Afrobeats hence his reaction to God’s songs.
It read, “Pastor don too listen to Afrobeat, na why.” Another user stated that the pastor disgraced and ‘washed their spirits off’.
One person said, “: There’s no justification to that behavior sir. Only you know wetin dey make you sleep. I hope the message didn’t bore people death too.”
