Nigerians have come hard for Sophia Momodu over her decision to use late Ifeanyi’s picture on Imade’s Instagram page.
Recall that celebrating Davido’s 30th birthday, the mother of one had taken to Imade’s page to pen a birthday wish for the artiste. Doing so, Sophia posted a picture showing Davido with his two daughters and the late Ifeanyi.
This had backfired on her. Netizens had dragged her for using the poor boy for clout.
Sophia made an apology on the page, explaining the need why the picture was used.
She said Imade loves her father so much as well as her siblings. She said she is trying to make the little girl understand that everything is still the same even after the loss of Ifeanyi.
She wrote, “I realize that the earlier post may come across as insensitive and sincerely apologize as that was not the intention.
“Imade deeply loves her father and all her siblings, and as a mother, I’m doing my best to guide her through the difficult emotion of grief from the loss of her brother whilst trying to celebrate her father’s birthday.
“Ask for your consideration and hope that you all can be understanding during these times. Thank you.”
That didn’t work as netizens continued to slam her over the apology.
