Some Nigerians have taken turns to slam R&B singer, Timi Dakolo, over his support for presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar.
Abubakar, who is attempting for the sixth time in the race as Nigerian president, was seen in a campaign and Timi was the guest singer.
The singer performed his song, Great Nation, in the midst of everyone present in the gathering. However, this didn’t sit well with some as they accused him of selling his vote.
A furious fan said, “This is the problem of Nigeria. Our celebrities can be bought with money anytime and they believe they’re the ones to influence others through social media…
“Greedy people because you’re looking for your own then tomorrow they’ll come and join Endsars protest…
“Why can’t they reject to perform in any of their political activities as a protest to OCT 20 2020 #endsars. Use what you have to show this old men that they’re not wanted anymore as leaders, protest with anything you can.”
Another one wrote, “Una don dey go sing for dem again after una go dey shout for here dey mislead us. The youth this and that. So Atiku is the youth wey you don go sing for.”
“Timi sef don collect national cake.”
“Diesel too cost, he complained the other day.”
