American singer and TV star, William Ray Norwood Jr. also known as Ray J, has filed for divorce from his wife, Princess Love.

The ‘Love and HipHop’ star filed for the divorce on Wednesday at Los Angeles Superior Court.

He was reported to have made that decision while hospitalized for pneumonia.

This will be the third time the couple will be filing for divorce.

The pair tied the knot in 2016. They have two children; their son Epik Ray and daughter Melody Love.

According to Ray J’s manager, David Weintruab, the singer is the hospital for pneumonia.

“…in the hospital for pneumonia, but it’s not the contagious kind.”

“They (The doctors) wanted to keep him there a couple extra days to watch him,” the manager said.

Princess was the first to file for divorce in November 2019, when she claimed that Ray left them stranded in Las Vegas, a claim he later denied.

She filed for divorce just four months after welcoming her second child, Ray Jr., with Ray J.
She, however, dismissed it two months later.

Ray J shared a touching tribute for Princess’ birthday in August but also filed for divorce in mid-September, asking for joint custody of their two children.

As always, Ray J called the divorce proceedings off. According to him, it was made “without prejudice”.

It all seems like they were trying to make things right for their children by staying together.

However, in an interview with the PeopleTV’s Reality Check this year, February, Ray J. stated that they were only good as friend and good parents.

He said, “..in a really good place as parents, as friends and as people who really just want everything to be right for our kids, for our family and for us.

“When you have two kids and you love your kids and love making them happy, I think from both of our eyes, just the good times exude all around.”
