Journalist Kemi Olunloyo has shared her findings on Rico Swavey’s accident.
Olunloyo in a recent post stated that Rico’s alcohol limit as at the accident was of legal limit and he wasn’t a drunk contrary to the false news stated by Doren hospital.
Recall that in a statement released by the hospital, it was confirmed that the unconscious body of the singer was smelling alcohol when he was brought in and that he had vomited his food contents.
Olunloyo said Rico was only a social drinker who had only dropped his friend off five minutes before the accident. The journalist went further stating that his car could have malfunctioned as well.
She added that the singer had taken a path, a bad intersection.
Her statement read, “I have CLOSED my #RIPRicoSwavey investigation. Patrick Fakoya was a social drinker who only had one drink and dinner. He drove thru a bad intersection.
“He had just dropped off his friend 5 minutes before the accident happened. The alcohol in his system was within legal limits. He only smelled of alcohol possibly because it was his last beverage after the meal.
“I have ASKED FRSC to look into lighting that location in Abraham Adesanya near Lekki Epe expressway. The car may have also possibly malfunctioned.
“It was a used car imported into Nigeria. I was the first journalist that told you the Doren video info and released facts with a cctv footage. The mainstream media must DO BETTER.
“Nothing can bring Rico back. May he Rest in peace. He died of a massive head injury. He will be laid to rest on October 20th 2022. Stay Safe everyone.”
