The Social Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has been recognised as the Politician of the Year.
This honour was bestowed on the renowned legal practitioner in an event organised by National Waves magazine to celebrate its 14th anniversary.
Other personalities honoured at the anniversary include; the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Egwarewa Adeniyi Keyamo SAN; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Delta North Senatorial candidate and founder of Prince Ned Nwoko Foundation, Prince Ned Nwoko and immediate past Enugu State Commissioner for Environment and Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga.
Others were the Publisher Pointblank News and founder, Mary and Ude-Jack Foundation, Chief Jackson Ude, President of Institute of Debt Recovery Practitioners of Nigeria, Mr Chris Akintunde Opeodu, MD/CEO of Corporate Choices Nigeria Limited, Mr Chia Waya, Dangote Group and Julius Berger Nigeria Plc.
Jimmy Enyeh, the publisher of National Waves, said the recipients of the awards were carefully nominated due to their service to humanity and “immense contributions” to the development of the country.
“Others [for awards] are immediate past Enugu State Commissioner for Environment and Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga; the Publisher, Pointblank News, and founder, Mary and Ude-Jack Foundation, Chief Jackson Ude; President of Institute of Debt Recovery Practitioners of Nigeria, Mr Chris Akintunde Opeodu; and MD/CEO of Corporate Choices Nigeria Limited, Mr Chia Waya,” the statement reads.
Adebayo’s presidential ambition has gained momentum since he declared to run under the SDP.
The media entrepreneur, who campaigns with the slogan ‘Hope Again 2023’, recently promised to create 30 million jobs as president.
