Nigeria’s first elected civilian President,Alhaji Usman Aliu Sheu Shagari is dead.
He died at the National hospital,Abuja.
He would be buried tomorrow according to Islamic rite.
His grandson, Alhaji Bello Shagari confirmed the death of the former president in Abuja today.
He wrote:” I regret announcing the death of my grandfather, H. E. Alhaji Sheu Shagari, who died right now after brief illness at the National hospital, Abuja.
