Singer Brymo debuts in Nollywood, replies critics

Afrobeat singer, Brymo, has made his debut in the Nollywood industry. He made his first appearance in the Biyi Bandele’s movie ‘Eleshin Oba: The King’s Horseman’.

The movie which was set in the Oyo Empire depicts the story of a king’s horseman who according to the tradition must commit suicide to follow the deceased king into the afterlife.

The King’s horseman however could not fulfil his obligations due to his sexual desires. He had a terrible encounter with the British leaders.

Brymo who had the role of a praise singer, Olohun Iyo in the movie, has received praises for his role while a few criticised the movie itself.

In reaction to the critics, he retweeted netizen’s tweets about how interesting and astounding his role was.

He also replied to a few of the fans. Some of the fans said they were discouraged with the plot of the movie but they continued because of Brymo.

Another one encouraged a displeased fan to rewatch the movie because of Brymo.

The movie was produced by Mo Abudu and has received criticism like every work of art.

The Netflix movie was released on Friday.
