Singer and activist, Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy, has laughed off a group of threats made to arrest him over a post he made on his social media.

Charly Boy on his Instagram on Saturday, July 1, has reacted to a video clip showing some youths in Paris destroying government properties over the killing of a 17-year-old by a police officer.

The singer stated that this is the way to go for Nigerian youths who feel injustice to the government.

This had raised an uproar in the comment section with some clamouring that the activist be arrested for encouraging violence amongst Nigerian youths.

Charly Boy on Twitter on Sunday, July 2, said the call of arrest is laughable.

His tweets read, “Na only me just dey Laff as guys just dey Kpara on top my Post, pple come dey even call for my arrest, see monkeys.

“DSS can’t arrest criminals but can arrest people who speak against criminals. You’re a useless Nigerian.

“Because I charged the Youths of Nigeria to take their destiny in their hands and bring down a criminal Enterprise, some Mumu persons come dey form gangster on top my post [sic].”
