Singer, Rema, begs ASUU to end strike

Afrobeat singer, Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, has implored with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over the ongoing strike.

Recall that the union had declared a month’s warning strike on February 14, which was quickly followed with an extension till March. However, no improvement has been made since then.

The ‘Sound Orgasm’ crooner took to his Twitter page on Monday, April 18, 2022, to lament on the delay in their decision making.

According to Rema, he has not resumed since his university has admitted him into the institution. He announced his admission to the University of Lagos in January, 2022.

He admitted that his mother had insisted he obtain a degree despite his growing fame.

His tweet read, “ASUU, since dem give me admission I neva start school o, e don do nau!”
