Singer Rema has broken another record as the most streamed African song on Spotify.
The singer surpassed Wizkid with his song ‘Calm Down’ with 800 million streams on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
The news was shared by The Plug Founder, Bizzle Osikoya, on his Twitter page on Wednesday, June 14. He described the latest achievement as amazing.
The song also jumped from number 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 to be in the number 3 spot. It is now the highest charting Nigerian song in the chart till date.
The song had made its major recognition after R&B singer, Selena Gomez, hopped on a remix of the song.
