Singer and saxophonist, Seun Kuti, has reacted to AY Makun’s posts about his national honours.
The singer took to his Instagram page to shade AY. He stated that the award is based on whoever the president chooses and not the public opinion.
Recall that AY had defended his honour stating that his quota to the country was appreciated hence the national award.
According to Seun, the list is passed to the president for approval from the presidential committee in charge of the national honours.
He said the comedian doesn’t need to explain, rather he should accept his ‘BUHARI’ award and be pleased with it.
The singer wrote, “Let me reiterate, No be a public opinion poll them take dey choose national award na by presidential committee then the president will accept the nomination of certain people. In as much as it’s a national honour, it’s a presidential appointment. Biko, receive ur BUHARI award and stop to dey Shalaye!!!”
