Singer Simi Kosoko has reacted to a viral video of skit makers Ashmusy, Nons Miraj and a few others.
In the video, these skit makers made a video in the hope to portray African mothers eating in a luxury restaurant.
The video shared how the skit makers had appeared in their traditional attires eating unruly on the table.
Simi, who wasn’t pleased with the misinterpretation of African mothers, called the skit makers out.
She said the video made her livid. She said she doesn’t know whose mothers behave the way they did at the table.
Her tweet read, “That video about African moms where they looked a mess and we’re eating like dogs made me mad af.
“I don’t know anybody’s mom that acts like that. Y’all get your jokes together.”
Some in the comment section agreed with her. One person said, “The jokes are not even funny, to begin with, my own mother is well-mannered and I don’t personally know any of my friends’ mothers that act like this.”
Another person wrote, “I couldn’t even finish the skit. Like is that how your mothers behave?”
Someone tweeted, “To be very honest. There was no composure whatsoever, the hair gele wasn’t moderate, everything was just off.”
“Just maybe that’s how their own parents act publicly so it’s okay to leave them alone. It’s their business,” another fan tweeted.
