Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph, has berated ministers of God who advises female victims of domestic abuse to remain in their marriages.
The actress who referred to herself as a Christian mother herself said it’s wrong for these clergymen to tell the victims to continue praying for their husbands who beat them especially with no other help rendered to them.
She said they should tell their church members the truth about abuses and get help for them whenever situations arise.
Anita went further to advise them not to turn divorcees to outcasts in church because they left abusive marriages.
An excerpt of what she said read, “I wish you know God by yourself so you can know the right things to do. Know God by yourself. Stop depending on your pastors, even your pastors need prayers …
“You see how this husband of hers treats her and you advise her to stay and pray that everything will be okay.”
