Three suspects have been arrested for the alleged abduction of a 3-day-old child in Kaduna. This was confirmed by the Kaduna State Police Command on Friday.

The three men were said to have tricked the mother while pregnant, pretending to be in good accordance with her, striking a friendship with her.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, said the complaint of a missing three-day old baby boy was made on November 9, 2020, and since then the Police had been making investigations on the case.

He praised the Police Force for their swift and witty act to get to the bottom of the case.

Suspects were said to have taken the boy from his mother to an unknown place three days after delivery.

The suspects, however, were arrested on November 26 at about 1pm in Unguwan Baraya, Jos Road, Bauchi.

The baby is said to be in good condition and has since been handled to the parents.

ASP Jalige in his words said, “Children are precious gifts from God and they should be guided with all levels of solemnity.”

The suspects who later confessed to their acts would be made to come to the realisation of making jail their new home.
