While many are celebrating the queen of afrobeat over her coronation performance, she has also received some criticism over her choice of song, “Keys to The Kingdom.”

The singer has been heavily criticised for performing a song dedicated to the Black community for people who were responsible for slavery.

Many compared her actions to what international star, Beyoncé, did during the #EndSARS movement especially since the ‘Somebody Son’ equally criticised the ‘Halo’ singer.

Some of the comments are; “This is like singing Brown Skin Girl at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.”

Another person wrote, “Singing ‘Keys to The Kingdom’ to a king who broke in countries without a key, stole people, looted treasures and murdered for centuries is wild.”

Someone wrote, “Using a black song to tell a white supremacist family member they’re the key to the kingdom is the most insane thing I’ve seen in a very long time… This is actually different like it’s been a while since I’ve seen anything this crazy.”

Another furious fan said, “She really sang ‘See how the sun and the moon bow for you?’ to colonizers.”

Someone said, “She’s insane btw. Is this not the woman that called out Beyoncé for not speaking up issues in Nigeria meanwhile she’s performing for the originators of the issue?? And the song choice? Nasty stuff.”
