Nigeria’s D’Tigress have lost in the Group B preliminary round of women’s basketball against the United States in an 81–72 score.
While the US women’s basketball team have never lost a match since the 1996 Olympics Summer Games, Nigeria remains the one of the African nation to have made a mark on the sands of time at both FIBA, All Africa Games, and the Olympics.
The game appeared as a rematch from just a week ago when both teams faced off ahead of the Olympics in Las Vegas.
Team USA routed the Nigerian team 93-62 in the game.
D’Tigress fought hard to keep the margin tight from the beginning of the game and with diligence, kept it tighter till the end of the match.
D’Tigress have so far shown dedication, zeal, and passion.
Nigeria’s D’Tigress will meet France at the same venue on 30th of July, 2021.
