President Donald Trump has sanctioned Swiss multinational healthcare company, Roche Diagnostics, to condct massive coronavirus test on U.S. citizens.

According to Senator, Rand Paul, Roche coronavirus test ” is 10 times faster than current test.”

This was disclosed in a 37-second clip of a press conference addressed by Trump himself and Matt Sauce, president and CEO of the North-American division of Roche.

In the video, Sauce can be heard saying, “From Roche, we want to thank the FDA for their rapid approval of our coronavirus test.”

He added: “We really appreciate the partnership with the CDC and the FDA to get that to market it as fast a possible because it is critical for us to make that available to help patients in need and working with laboratories to get it going in the near future which will bring hundreds and thousands of tests available to patients in need in the United States.”

This, however, is contrary to the claim that Roche Diagnostics has successfully developed a coronavirus vaccine.

It would be recalled that Trump had failed in an attempt to hijack a vaccine being worked upon by a German biopharmaceutical firm.

The U.S. leader offered “large sums of money”  to move its research on a coronavirus vaccine to the US, according to Die Welt.

The German daily reported that the White House attempt to relocate CareVac, a research company based in Tuebingen, was aimed at securing exclusive access to the drug when it was ready.

According to CNN, the number of Americans who have died from the novel coronavirus in the United States reached 100 on Tuesday evening.
